Carajo es una banda de rock de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Se formó en el año 2001 con Marcelo “Corvata” Corvalan en bajo y voz, Andrés “Andy” Vilanova en batería y Hernán “Tery” Langer en guitarra y coros. Los dos primeros comparten el antedecente de haber formado parte de una de las más importantes bandas de metal de todo Latinoamérica, A.N.I.M.A.L.
El tercer disco de estudio de Carajo es titulado INMUNDO, producido por Ale Vázquez, editado y distribuido por Universal Music Argentina. Inmundo contiene 12 canciones compuestas por el trío.
El que ama lo que hace es el segundo corte de difusión de Inmundo y ya empezó a rotar en las radios, el video clip dirigido por FARSA producciones y ya se puede ver en los canales de música. La historia en el clip también habla, de alguna manera, del futuro de los integrantes de la banda.

He visto que a muchas personas les ha gustado la canción de la publicidad del teléfono Motorola RAZAR V8. Les cuenta que la canción se llama “Le Disko” y la canta la banda “Shiny Toy Guns”, he visto en algunos comentarios que están los datos al revés pensando que la banda es “Le Disko” y la canción “Shiny Toy Guns”.
“Shiny Toy Guns” es una banda de rock estadounidense de Los Ángeles, California fundada en el 2002. Su canción “Le Disko” se convirtió en una canción popular alrededor de Internet, sobre todo en la red social de MySpace. Otras bien conocidas canciones son “Don’t Cry Out”, “You Are The One”, “Rainy Monday” y la canción versionada de Depeche Mode,“‘Stripped”.

Como lo prometido es deuda, les dejo la grilla completa de artistas que tocaran en el próximo Cosquín Rock 2008 que se realizara el 8, 9 y 10 de Febrero.
Mejor tarde antes que nunca. Esa tan esperada noche pasó y dejó su huella inolvidable. La visita a Córdoba de Soda Stereo, el sábado 15 de diciembre, se transformó en un hito que permanecerá para siempre en la memoria de quienes asistieron a la cita.
Es cierto, ya nadie podrá revivir la atmósfera que se generó en el Chateau Carreras, durante las casi tres horas en que la banda liderada por Cerati habitó ese estadio: 40 mil almas entregadas al ritmo de la música ligera, destellos luminosos, un trío de músicos legendarios derrochando talento sobre un escenario monumental, la emoción, los recuerdos, la alegría.
Hoy, todas esas imágenes, y las sensaciones que son capaces de evocar, conviven en la memoria. Acaso porque ese es el destino que siempre comparten los acontecimientos únicos.
R.E.M. se formó en Athens, un pequeño pueblo universitario en el sur del estado de Georgia, Estados Unidos. Descubriendo que tenían gustos musicales similares, el vocalista Michael Stipe (nacido el 4 de enero en Decatur, Georgia) y el guitarrista Peter Buck (nacido el 6 de diciembre de 1956 en Berkeley, California) empezaron a trabajar juntos, y con el tiempo conocieron al bajista Mike Mills (nacido el 17 de diciembre de 1958 en Orange County, California) y al batería Bill Berry (nacido el 31 de julio de 1958 en Duluth, Minnesota). En abril del año 1980 la banda debutó bajo el nombre de Twisted Kites en la fiesta de cumpleaños de su amiga Kathleen O’Brien. Para el verano del mismo año, la banda ya eligió el nombre que emplearía en las siguientes décadas: R.E.M.. Este nombre fue elegido aleatoriamente con la ayuda de un diccionario, y en realidad designa una fase del sueño (Rapid Eye Movement, en inglés), que es aquella en la que ocurren los ensueños más profundos.
“Losing my religion”, el título de la canción nace de una expresión muy común en el sur de los Estados Unidos, “Losing my religion”, que significa perder el control o salirse de sus casillas. Aunque no alcanzó el #1 en las listas de popularidad de Estados Unidos, es considerada la canción más famosa de R.E.M. y es la que les dio reconocimiento mundial. En el Reino Unido alcanzó el lugar 19 y en Estados Unidos el º, aún manteniéndose como su sencillo más exitoso hasta la fecha. Además del álbum original, la canción fue incluida en el disco de grandes éxitos In time: the Best of R.E.M 1988-2003.
El video fue dirigido por Tarsem Singh, quien también dirigió la película The Cell con Jennifer Lopez, e incluía varias imágenes de diferentes religiones, más notablemente una imagen de San Sebastian, hecho que fue muy criticado, pero al final, el video fue todo un éxito e incluso ganó el codiciado premio de Video del Año en los MTV Video Music Awards de 1991 .

Hablando con mi amigo Santiago me entero de que se hace el tan polémico Cosquín Rock 2008 y se llevara a cabo el 8,9 y 10 de febrero del 2008.
Todavía no hay mucha información disponible, pero te cuento lo poco que se. La grilla completa de bandas se dará a conocer el próximo 18 de Diciembre y ese mismo día la voy a postear, lo que te puedo confirmar es como llegar en auto desde los distintos puntos del país.

“Gangsta’s Paradise”, tema inspirado en la melodía del “Pastime Paradise” de Stevie Wonder, fue incluido en la banda sonora de la película Dangerous Minds porque los directivos de Tommy Boy Records pensaron que no vendería apenas.
